I have read Charan Sue Wollard's, In My Other Life. This is a book where colors against colors and textures upon textures command your attention. It is a book of often common place occasions brought to life with uncommon sensitivity. Salted throughout the book are poems that leave the familiar home and take us to the further flung ports of Charan Sue Wollard's apparent heritage. Those are the flavors of her poetry which makes me wonder what her not-so-other-life is like. My favorite poem is The Actor, "he had made a dark room swell / with laughter." Glad to have had this read.
